Triple “A” All Stars Summer Camp
Always do your best at whatever you start, be patient, understanding, and have a heart of love for others.
Our Mission
Founded in 2021, Triple “A” All Stars Summer Camp is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that brings to life a summer camp in rural Alabama that would meet the needs of young people in small communities that enjoy learning about the Earth and how things grow and develop.
Our core values cohere with our vision and mission to give a unique experience to each child who learns through our programs.
- Academics: Reaching out to touch students in all areas of the learning process.
- Agriculture: Helping students enjoy hands-on activities that will help them develop an appreciation for our Earth.
- Athletics: Informing students about the importance of maintaining healthy eating habits and developing an appreciation for various types of sports and exercise activities.
About Us
Founder Fannie Nance was motivated to start this Organization because of how she was raised. While also a mother of an only child and having two aunts with special needs, she was taught to be patient, understanding, and have a heart full of love for others. After graduating high school, Fannie went on to study Early Childhood Education, Special Education, and Public School Librarianship while volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club during the summer. She went on to manage a children’s daycare in her home and worked in a group home that housed special needs individuals and cared for a single special needs individual in a private home setting. Fannie also taught children in private and public schools, worked in the public library system, and taught Sunday School for many years.
Programs
The community is 15 to 25 miles from a school or library and is the same distance from a major grocery store. Triple “A” All Stars Summer Camp will provide resources in the areas of academics, agriculture, and athletics to school-aged students grades K-12. The camp will give the students a closer distance to enhance in many areas of their learning process for grades K-12. It will also give students more one-on-one time and try to meet their needs. The students will learn skills that could help prepare them for a job and everyday life. It will help them learn daily chores and the skills of working together as a team.
Our goal is to meet the needs of young people in academics, agriculture, and athletics. Our goal is to have a camp house and gym built in two years where academics and sports activities are conducted. Activities will also include art, music, and dance classes. Various field trips are also included in the agenda, along with a farmers market where children will learn about agriculture. We hope to collaborate with colleges in the area to get a scholarship each year for a graduating senior.
